OCD-UK Management Committee Trustee
Written: February 2011
"I was diagnosed with OCD when I was 14 years old. I am now 23 and I am still on my journey to an OCD -free life. The most valuable treatment for me is having people to talk to, and OCD-UK provides that community spirit and understanding and offers the professional advice and resources to help guide sufferers on their journey to recovery. OCD is still so misunderstood, but together we can make a difference. I work in film production, and in 2010 I wrote and produced a short film about OCD called 'Locked', and I was delighted when my colleagues at OCD-UK chose to show it to open our 2010 conference in Cambridge."

"Believe it or not, but these little legs are in for the biggest challenge of their life as I run 26.2 (the .2 is the hardest I am told) painstaking miles. Yes, on the 17th April I shall be running, wheezing and stumbling the Virgin London Marathon" . OCD-UK trustee, Claire Gellard is looking for your help to reach her sponsorship target of raising £2000 for OCD-UK.
Click here to visit Claire's sponsorship page at Virgin Money Giving, and to read more about her marathon effort on behalf of OCD-UK.
Some of the money raised by Claire will be used by Claire and OCD-UK to help produce a short OCD film for OCD Awareness Week in October.
