Edinburgh OCD Support Group

By Kirstie McBryan.

With support from OCD-UK, I am setting up a new OCD Support Group in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The group will run, in the evening, on the last Tuesday of the month and will be free of charge.  The venue is centrally located in the heart of Edinburgh and only a few minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station.

OCD can be a challenging and isolating condition to live with. The group is open to anyone affected by OCD, including sufferers, family and friends. The meeting will be informal and will offer people the opportunity to share experiences and to receive and offer support in a non-judgemental setting.
I hope the group can allow anyone affected by OCD the freedom to express their thoughts and exchange ideas in an environment where we share the belief that recovery from OCD is possible.

If you are interested in attending then please do come along or feel free to contact me by email at k.mcbryan@ocduk.org for further information.

This support group is fully funded by OCD-UK, donations to OCD-UK are welcomed to help continue funding support groups like this one.

Contact Information

The support group details are intended for people with OCD, and these contact details should not be used by researchers or TV production companies without first consulting OCD-UK.

You can contact Kirstie who will be running the group by emailing k.mcbryan@ocduk.org.

Under no circumstances must you send any correspondence to the venue as they simply host our group, and will not have any information about OCD.

Travel - Car Parking and Trains

There is no on-site parking at the venue. However, the closest car park (around a 5 minute walk away) is Edinburgh Waverley Train Station car park which charges £6 for up to 3 hours parking, although if you ask the Jury's Inn reception staff they will scan your ticket to give you 25% discount off your total parking cost. Click here to download a PDF map of the area..

If travelling by train, Edinburgh Waverley Train Station is a 5 minute walk from the station to the hotel. Exit via Market Street, cross the road onto Jeffrey Street and the venue is 100 yards up on the right hand side. Taxis can be accessed on Waverley Bridge (outside the train station).

The venue is approx. 11 minutes’ walk away from Edinburgh Bus Station.
