Give As You Earn, or Payroll Giving, is a completely tax-free, simple and flexible way for you to support OCD-UK on a regular basis. The money is taken from your paypacket before the taxman even touches it, so it basically costs you less to give more!
Donations are deducted before tax so each £1 you donate to OCD-UK will only cost you 80p.
Give as you earn example
Donations are deducted before tax so each £1 you donate to OCD-UK will only cost you 80p. For example, if you are a basic rate tax payer:
- You donate £10 to OCD-UK

You actually only have to pay £8
- The taxman will add £2.00 – at no extra cost to yourself - and OCD-UK will receive £10.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer then it will cost you even less to donate to OCD-UK. Don't forget to check if your employers offer 'matched giving' where they match or double your gift to OCD-UK at no extra cost to you.
How to donate
- Check with your payroll or human resources department, to see if they offer this scheme, and decide how much you want to give each pay day.
- If your employer does not have the scheme, ask them to set one up, or you can set up a regular donation directly through the charity.
- You can stop your donation at any time by informing your payroll department.
