Olivers roller marathon

A huge thank you to Oliver who recently completed the fantastic Goodwood Roller Marathon in August. For Oliver, this meant getting his skates on and skating 26.6 miles (11 laps) around the famous Goodwood motor circuit all in aid of OCD-UK, and so far already raising £350 for OCD-UK, and with a pledge to match that from his employers, Barclays.

Oliver told us that he was doing the challenge for his wife, Emma who suffers with OCD. He went on to tell us "She had plenty of support from the forum when she was worse and we attended one of your conferences a couple of years ago. By her own admission she mainly visits the forum in her lower times so it would be nice to give something back!"

"I printed up some info from your website and had it on display with your logo when we did the cake sale in branch. It was good to get to talk to a variety of people some who knew quite a bit and others less so."

After his challenge Oliver told us it took him just over 3 hours, "Blisters and all! Emma was there to support me. To be honest if I wasn't raising money I'm not sure if i would have had the will to complete it, it was very tough."
