Racing 100 miles for anyone whose ever been a slave to their mind

Stuart Ralph cycling for OCD-UK

The #TourdeFrance may be over but there's still more cycling to come next weekend in London and Surrey when some of our intrepid #FantasticFundraisers look to cycle 100 miles in less than 8.5 hours. One of those taking part is Stuart Ralph (pictured) who told us why he is riding for OCD-UK.

I am proud to be riding for OCD-UK in this year’s RideLondonSurrey100. I went to the conference last year in York and was inspired by the effort the charity puts into helping others recover from OCD. It was also inspiring to see the “kick ass” approach to overcoming OCD the charity had. Sending a message that OCD doesn’t have to be tolerated it can be beaten (over time).

I’ve had OCD since I was 6-years-old. My OCD has fallen into many of the subtypes. I have struggled most with harm OCD and Relationship OCD. Two years ago I decided enough was enough and went on an all-out recovery war to find a way out. I am far better than I was thanks to hard work and good people sharing good knowledge.

I endorse the OCD-UK message and it’s one I encourage through my podcast The OCD Stories. I hope myself and the other riders backing OCD-UK can do the charity proud and increase the awareness.
