The Monica Partridge building is located within University Park, the University of Nottingham’s largest campus at 300 acres. Part of the University since 1929, the campus is widely regarded as one of the largest and most attractive in the country and has been ranked third in the world in a list of the most sustainable universities.
Set in extensive greenery and around a lake, University Park is the focus of life for students, staff and visitors. Conference guests are welcome to enjoy the walks, parks and gardens in the University’s landscaped settings which feature, long-established woodland, contemporary gardens and the Millennium Garden (pictured) - a quiet, reflective place in which to escape the hustle and bustle of campus life.
The overall style of University Park might be described as ‘English Landscape’. Although no area is authentically eighteenth century, it has the main parkland components of rolling grassland, individual and clumped trees, shrub groups, long grass 'wild' areas which encourage biodiversity different plant species from around the world, reflecting the international nature of the university.
The Orchard Hotel & Restaurant is the nearest hotel to our venue, situated on the university campus grounds, and just a short five minute walk through Millennium garden to our venue.
