Become a Member of OCD-UK

The quarterly OCD Magazine, Compulsive Reading.
Members receive the quarterly OCD Magazine, Compulsive Reading.

Being a member of OCD-UK is a great way to support our work and keep up-to-date with the latest OCD news, in terms of advances in research and treatments.  It also allows you the opportunity to join a community of like-minded people who also want support and to help each other through the charity.

OCD-UK remains the only service-user led charity for people with OCD, where the people running your charity have direct personal experiences of the illness themselves. This allows us to be your voice, speaking with authority and independently representing the needs of our community. You can get involved and show your support by becoming a member of OCD-UK.

Benefits of OCD-UK Membership

As an OCD-UK member, you'll receive timely and accurate news and information from the OCD community and be eligible for various other benefits.

  • Members receive the OCD magazine, Compulsive Reading, delivered to their door or email inbox four times a year. Each issue is packed with features, your stories about living with OCD and the latest research, news and advice. We'll even send you at least one backcopy when you join, so in your first year you will receive 5 magazines!
  • The opportunity to join a network of people across the UK who have lived with OCD, providing you with an opportunity to feel less isolated and share experiences.
  • Magazines usually have prize draws to win some great prizes, in the last year we have given away a SAD box worth £200 and an Olympus Digital Camera worth £189.99 amongst our prizes.
  • Priority email support. Members will have access to a members only email address, where your requests for advice and support will be prioritised.
  • An information leaflet, which can be passed on to family and friends to help them understand OCD better.
  • Discount on our annual conference and other events.
  • 10% Discount on books and gifts in our online shop.
  • Complimentary OCD Awareness Gift. Gifts include detailed information booklets, OCD pin badges, wristbands and awareness cotton bags.
