How to find Park Inn by Radisson, Northampton

Our conference venue is easy to find and located conventionally in Northampton Town Centre, right next to the bus station and just a short 0.5 mile walk from Northampton train station (10-15 minutes).

From the M1
If heading from the north, it is generally recommended to leave at junction 16 and head onto the A4500 towards Northampton town centre. If heading from the south, you may wish to leave at junction 15 and head onto the A45 towards Northampton town centre.

Our 2019 conference venue also offers excellent road links from the A1 with ease of access from Kettering, Peterborough, Cambridge and from the M40 from Royal Leamington Spa, Banbury and Oxford all within a hours drive.

Car Parking
The hotel has 180 parking spaces available on a first come, first served basis. Hotel car parking is free for conference guests between the hours of 9am and 6pm on Saturday, however please note you will need to enter your car registration number into the hotel's complimentary parking computer at either the hotel reception or the conference reception.

PLEASE NOTE: Overnight hotel guests will also be using this car park so there is no guarantee of places and you may need to use a nearby public car park.

Public Car Parking
The closest public car park is the Mayorhold Shoppers Multi Storey Car Park which is located about 4-minutes walk from the conference hotel and offers 1073 car parking spaces. At the time of preparing this guide, the charge for all day Saturday parking is £5. Car Park Postcode: NN1 3HA. Because of one way streets, you need to enter the car park from Lady's Lane. An alternative car park is the Northampton Train Station Car Park which is located about 13-minutes walk from the conference hotel and offers 813 car parking spaces. Other Parking:
There are many other council and private car parks around Northampton and which are charged at various prices.

A recommended car park by local member Roy is the NCP St Peters Way Car Park which is located about 7-minutes walk from the conference hotel and offers 278 car parking spaces on a flat level (rather than multi-storey). At the time of preparing this guide, the charge for all day Saturday parking is £8. Car Park Postcode: NN1 1TP. Please note the postcode does not identify the car park, so for Google Sat Nav please enter 'St Peters' Way Parking'. Trains to Northampton arrive at a £20 million modern station. The glass and steel building is full of light and colour. The station is half a mile west of the town centre and the OCD-UK conference venue.

Northampton is primarily served by West Midlands Trains services southbound to London Euston and northbound to Birmingham New Street and Crewe.

At the time of preparing this page (8th Sept) there are direct trains serving Northampton from London Euston, Birmingham New Street,
Birmingham International Airport, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Watford Junction, Liverpool, Wolverhampton, Rugby, Crewe and other stations. All of which can get you into Northampton in time for the conference start.

Other locations which allow you to access Northampton in time for the conference start but requiring one change at Birmingham are trains from Derby, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester (change at Milton Keynes).

From the Station
On foot:
Walking time from the station is approximately 13 minutes to find the hotel. Just enter the hotel details (NN1 2TA) into your phone and follow the directions.

By bus:
Stagecoach Buses 5,8,9,15 drop you off at St Peters Walk. The hotel is located two blocks away.

The two closest airports are Birmingham International and London Luton. Northampton is also accessible from London Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted airports.

From Birmingham Airport
By train:
Take any train from Birmingham International Airport direct to Northampton or head to Birmingham New Street and catch any train stopping at Northampton. Walk 10-15 minutes to reach the hotel.

By car:
To reach the hotel using satellite navigation, use postcode NN1 2TA. The airport is 43 miles from Northampton, approximately a 1-hour drive. There is parking at the hotel, please refer to the parking details above.

From London Luton Airport
By public transport:
Take any train from Luton Airport Parkway southbound to London St Pancras and either walk the short distance to London Euston (or get the tube) and board a train direct to Northampton. Alternatively, from Luton Airport get a National Express coach to Northampton town centre.

By car:
To reach the hotel using satellite navigation, use postcode NN1 2TA. The airport is 39 miles from Northampton, approximately a 40-minute drive northbound up the M1 motorway. There is parking at the hotel, please refer to the parking details above.

Most local services will stop at North Gate bus station, which is next to and just 1-2 minutes walk from the conference venue.

There are several national coach firms that operate services to Northampton, with National Express offering a service to Northampton.

During the day National Express Coaches will stop at Victoria Street, which is a short 7-minute walk from our conference venue. Between 7pm and 6am National Express coaches will stop/depart from North Gate bus station (usually bay 14).
