Marika - What If
This poem was written by OCD-UK Young Ambassador Marika who is 18 years old. It is inspired by the doubt that accompanies intrusive thoughts, and the rumination that follows.
What If
by Marikawhat if I'm a coward
what if I'm a fraud
what if I can't help it
what if I get caught
everyone's noticed the unpolished blunders
help
I want to yelp as I'm pulled asunder
and eaten up by swarming ants and
writhing maggots
they take their time devouring
a reminder
that I'm only cowering fodder
for the jaws that ever judder
