Dear newly diagnosed,

I know that right now you may be feeling terrified, but there is nothing to fear I promise you. Everything is going to be ok. Now that you have been diagnosed you can access the help that you deserve. Now that you have been diagnosed it will help you to understand more about what you have been going through, and why you have been feeling the way you do.

Being diagnosed with OCD does not define who you are or label you, it opens doors for you, and gives you access to support and can help you to connect with people who are going through similar things. I know that having a diagnosis can be a scary and daunting thing, but there is nothing to worry about. Please do not feel embarrassed or ashamed of your diagnosis, it is nothing to be embarrassed about- it shows how strong you are. Everything is going to be ok.

Yours sincerely,

Minnie
