Zoom Groups - TwitterWe are delighted to say that through funding awarded to OCD-UK by the Coronavirus Mental Health Response Fund that from August we will be able to deliver weekly online OCD support groups that will continue for the next 12-months.

In fact we will be hosting three OCD support groups each week! There will be groups on a Tuesday evening and Thursday morning. We will also host a ‘themed’ meeting each Wednesday. The Tuesday (evening) and Thursday (morning) groups will be standard OCD support groups open to anybody. The Wednesday group (times varying) will be themed for different groups or for specific OCD related problems.

For further information about the project, meeting dates and how to register for each meeting please visit our new online groups page at: www.ocduk.org/support-groups/zoom/

Commenting on the new Fund, Ashley Fulwood, Chief Executive of OCD-UK, said: “We are absolutely delighted that we are going to be able to offer a new and innovative support service for our users during these difficult and unsettling times. It’s so vital right now where access to community OCD support is so crucial. We are delighted to welcome Kirstie McBryan to our team who will be hosting the groups.”

The project’s been made possible by a grant OCD-UK secured from the Coronavirus Mental Health Response Fund, a fund that was setup after the government (Department of Health and Social Care) made £5m available for mental health charities. The fund is being managed by a consortia of leading Mental Health charities and administrated by Mind on behalf of the group.
