OCD & Taboo thoughts
Never allow yourself to feel ashamed about the thoughts you are having. Your thoughts are involuntary and say nothing about you as a person.
The fact that you experience unpleasant emotions by having these thoughts reaffirms that you are a good person and are not to blame. Having thoughts that are unpleasant and taboo doesn’t mean we should suffer by ourselves.
Don’t let your brain trick you into believing you are responsible for your thoughts. You are still you with or without the thoughts.
