The national OCD charity, run by and for people with lived experience of OCD
To the recently diagnosed...
Repeat after me:
I am not crazy
I am loved
OCD does not define me
Sure, OCD is (and at this point definitely feels like) a huge part of your life, but you are not your OCD. You are not your intrusive thoughts. Your personality and warmth radiate from you despite your internal struggle. Your recovery is not about you needing to be fixed, it's helping you use your OCD as an asset and keep control, so you can feel content. Carry on with grace and elegance and be proud of yourself!
I'm so proud of you.
